Emigration & change of residence

Moving abroad is a life decision. We make sure everything moves with you – legally and for tax purposes.

What it is about

Relocating changes more than your address: tax liability, social security, shareholdings and assets all need to be reorganised. For entrepreneurs in particular, the order of the steps determines whether the move goes smoothly.

We support you from the first idea to your arrival – with a clear plan for leaving, choosing your destination and integrating your companies.

Who it is for

  • Entrepreneurs and shareholders planning to move abroad
  • Families relocating a second home or their centre of life
  • Retirees with assets and shareholdings
  • Professionals and investors interested in residence programmes

Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

Does my tax liability end when I deregister?

Not automatically. If you keep a home or economic interests in your home country, tax liability may continue in full or in part. We plan for this in advance.

What happens to my shares in a limited company?

Moving away may trigger taxation of hidden reserves. With timely planning, the consequences can often be significantly limited.

How long does planning an emigration take?

That depends on the destination and your asset structure. The earlier you involve us, the more room there is for structuring.
